Stock Modifications

CZ457 placed in a ORYX stock. So far so good. MLOK attachment for a decent bipod up the front. Next, purchase a SCREE tripod with Christmas presents. SO now how do I attach the CZ. Pic rail or Arca? I have a pic rail mount same as what's up the front, nice. solid. But, ARCA IS BETTER. Ok, find an Arca MLOK plate for the tripod attachment. On its way. BUT!!!! Now I'm having fun, I want to be able to attach all my other toys to the tripod. Seems no one in OZ has ARCA plates to fix to a stock, timber or synthetic. I sniffed out a site, Henderson Universal, in USA, isn't everything?, but even they are out of stock of the shorter mounts. Surely we have smart enough people here at home to design and manufacture these and all the other stuff? Our $ is rising against the USD, so hope springs eternal, but this stuff still has to be made, why not by us?

The pen is mightier than the sword. If the pen is used to order more swords.

Atlasworxs in WA? ICE? Manael?

Be p*ss easy to make. 6061, 7075, all available cut to length in different flat thicknesses.
Buy yourself a mini-mill mate, and get to work.
Get into it while the fad is still going strong.

Or is it? From what I've seen, Aussies just do not want to pay for the hours taken (even at lower rates) and material costs to get good gear to make it worthwhile for an easy-come, easy-go market.
Setting yourself up, if you have those skills, is easy as. You could even set yourself up to anodised the results yourself, or use a local joint.
