I cant get the search box to work.
Anyway I was in town yesterday and in the LGS they had this on the bench in .223. . Do I need it? NO. Do I like it , YES. I have been cutting back on my guns, (back to 13) but would really like this as a toy. Reading up I wonder if the .300 BLK might be better but for the amount of use it will get it probably wont matter..
I like that it is Aussie made as I dont have any.
Anyone on here use one?

Don't have one mate but I've looked them over a few times... still hoping they make a lever/button release version. Because Wedgetail make true AR semis here, hard to get though.
Aussie made, made properly on the AR platform design, not some cheaper corner-cutting frankenstein version of it like ALL the others.
There are no ways to criticise the quality in any way.

The calibre? Depends what you're doing. Fun shoots cheaper, 223. Full power 300BO is an OK pig cartridge close in. But costs more to run. If you're not shooting much, maybe the BO.

No, at my age I am not shooting much but do enjoy my range time. I think its only what keeps me going..
They certainly look well made and I might as well spend it on something useful and Aussie made.

Well I didnt get the Gunshop one. A ,it was more expensive than buying from new and B being the micro version the barrel was only 13 inches long which I thought a bit short for a .223.
I ended up ordering one from Wedgetail . A bit of a wait but it is finally here. a Mini with the 16 inch barrel in .223 and I also ordered a Micro upper in 300 BLK as it sounds fun to work with. A bit longer to wait as they ran out of barrels and are waiting for Lithgow Arms to make more.So I get two guns in one and its only a matter of pushing out two pins , swapping uppers and push the pins back in. They are captive pins so cant be lost.
I have heaps of .223 brass from Annies old F Class rifle to play with too and bought 300 BLK brass from Cleavers.I am usually a Black Powder shooter but this looks an interesting toy.

PS. Tried to post a pic but it said too big. Dont know how to shrink them so will have to go via Flickr again

There’s an app called compress it’s free for compressing pictures. Pretty sure another one with same name compresses vids .. factory 110 vmax ammo is a very effective pig medicine.. enjoy your new toy.

And 2207 with a bit of research can make similar ammo to 2205. Is 2205 available now ?

The 11th edition of ADI ,s reloading guide list only 2205 and 2207 for the heavier sub sonic loads. I have part containers of both and can try them out.
Trailboss and 2205 for the lighter supersonic loads. You would wonder why they list powders if they dont intend to make them. I have part containers of Unique and Trailboss to try too.
