Yes I had the intimidation squad at my front door two weeks ago four coppers to do a firearms inspection I'm still waiting for the blow back because I let yhem have it they were not happy possibility I will lose everything

As the video points out, Police don't just come and knock on your door unless they are acting under a legal Authority. In that case do as they say and seek legal advice as soon as possible. An Authority maybe a Notice of Suspension, Notice of Prohibition etc. If they are going to conduct an audit you will be contacted first to arrange a time for Inspection but if they don't you should comply if you can reasonably do so acting like a dick will make the difference of being told to correct some issue of non-compliance as I have been before, or the DFO being absolutely rigid and seizing your guns for not complying 100% with the Law. (As a former truckie and current biker I have seen people getting tickets for minor things because the first thing they did was have a go at the copper where those who are friendly and compliant get off with a warning, same applies to your DFO) As for what the numptie in the vid said about seizures he is bloody WRONG! Police CAN enter, search and seize firearms without a Warrant or Authority under the provisions of S.149 of the Act, the circumstances are strictly proscribed but hey do exist. DON"T BE A DICK, comply, get a receipt in writing for any seized item and seek legal advise ASAP. I have twice now had my firearms taken on the spot without Warrant or Authority and both times have had them returned without any hassle once the issues were resolved in both instances my co-operative behaviour has been cited as in issue that helped get the matters dealt with quickly and easily.

You are wrong on this point as it is what they did to me and the sergeant blatantly told me he did not have to contact us and let us know that they wanted to do a firearms check

i agree wholeheartedly with your attitude and advice . i've had little to do with the police but i've always been respectful and polite, taken responsibility if i've been in the wrong . many years ago i got done for DUI and was very respectful to the cops . at the time i'd just found out my mother had terminal cancer which was why my judgement slipped. i didn't mention it to the cops as i'd done what i did, and my morals meant i had to take responsibility for it . after being charged the cops were giving me a lift home , and i expressed concern about my vehicle being left where it was. we were going past it and they pulled up and one of the cops drove my car home for me . who says all cops are c@nts ? they're people too and i haven't struck a bad one yet
