Do you remember the fads and habits involving the "car" and typical Frid and Sat nights ?
The over sized furry foam Dice that hung from so many internal rear view mirrors,, Beer can ring pull chains that circled the interiors,, Window stickers, and of course the obligatory fox tails.
The weekend wouldn't be complete without being pulled over by the local constabulary and, (at the very least) getting a lecture about the Dice etc blocking your view and possibly causing an accident.
Which brings me to the "ADR on vehicles (contradictory)
The current line of ADR involving the exterior rear view mirrors that are now in place on so many (if not all) "newish" and new vehicles.
They are sooooooooooo,, big, that while affording a somewhat magnificent rear view,,, they now block the sideways and forward angled view of the driver.
Typical scenarios are driving across pedestrian crossings, and entering roundabouts to name but a few.
This rear view mirror induced blind spot is big enough to mostly hide an oncoming vehicle, and certainly big enough to hide an entire pedestrian.
Contradictory and ironic,, compared to getting a lecture about the dice, considering the fact that this problem is caused by ADR
