It’s a different world.
They have much better access to what the majority want.
And they are all just trying to capture the majority. Because, no different than the rest of us, they are chasing the best money.
They are professional politicians.
And they don’t work for us. They work for themselves, only to better their own lives.

We are 6% of the population.
It can still make a difference. Muslims are 3% and look what they’ve achieved here.

There is no room for defeatism. That is not who we are. We will be brave.
We each need to step up in whatever capacity we can. As individuals.
Maybe it’s just emails and lobbying. Maybe you hold more influence.
What matters is you fight to your capacity. It matters that we all do.
We have a duty.
We owe it to those that came before us and those that will come after.

Gun owners out number muslims and jews in this country. However they are concentrated(for the most part) to a few electorates whilst gun owners are spread thinly across all electorates.

So the government use them as a voting block whilst they rape us gun owners. Every gun owner in this country should move to south east Queensland.

Around 800k gun owners outside of Queensland. 800k of them in Brisbane would make Queensland the Texas of the federation.

You do, otherwise these totalitarian nutjobs will just take everything until they have total control over the chaos they created beneath them.

As I have said elsewhere that is the lesson the firearms lobby learned in the USA. The only reason we have what we have and all the pro firearms capabilities with have is because so many of us keep protesting, kept emailing and calling politicians, kept drafting pro firearms legislation, kept finding pro gun candidates, kept taking cases to the higher courts and so on. You just can't let up at all.

In the USA certain Rights are integral to the existence of the USA even though they may be at times undermined or abused.
But let's face it, as I have pointed out many times in the past, in NSW and likely all the other states a person does not have any rights. That person may be granted privileges according to laws passed by that states subsidiary to the Crown.
So any privilege (or pseudo right) can be nullified at the stroke of a pen.
For example, consider how lightning fast these firearm laws were rammed through Parliament.
As for petitions, the clip below is indicative of their effectiveness when the current rulers think otherwise.

This honestly rattled me. NSW passed the damn law yesterday, just like that. This has completely ruined my Christmas.

Let’s be real: the gun community in NSW does not have the strong lobbying power, and the government knows it. That’s exactly why we’re the easiest target when politicians want to look “decisive”.

So serious questions:

As licence holders, what can we actually do now?

How do we support each other when many people are feeling angry, stressed, and financially shafted?

How do we protect our interests on what’s still coming — especially the proposed buyback and further changes?

How can we coordinate with licence holders in other states so this doesn’t keep happening one state at a time?

And bluntly: how do we hold the Minns Labor government politically accountable in ways that actually matter?

Got this email about 4am this morning. A cynic might have an opinion as to why such an email might be sent so early.

"The ePetition Proportionate, Evidence-based and Consultative firearms policy that you signed will be debated on Thursday 26 March 2026 at 4.00pm.
You can watch the debate live on our webcast here: https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/Pages/webcasts.aspx
Once the debate has ended, a video will be uploaded to our Facebook and Instagram pages."

Unsure of the format and who will be debating.
Hoping now that some time has elapsed and emotions are not so raw that some common sense prevails.....

Remember, folks; this has got NOTHING to do with creating a safer community, but everything to do with disarming the civilian population!
Using the tired old rhetoric of "taking the guns off the streets" is music to the ears of the lefty/socialist/communist politicians that YOU voted for. The very people who would have you believe that the ONLY people who should be permitted to use guns will be the military and (paramilitary)police - the police state.
YOU voted for it. Now you are paying the price.
Note too that after paying compensation, the firearms will be "safely destroyed". If they're contemplating paying upwards of $10,000 per firearm, would it have crossed the minds of the numpties who dreamt this scheme to sell those valuable items to an international buyer and thus recoup some of the cost? Of course not! It's about disarmament!

Many years ago, a similar scenario took place in NZ.
No8 and No9 military training rifles were removed from (civilian) school cadet armouries and it was proposed that they be destroyed. After a massive outcry and backlash from the general populace, they were sold at public auction which netted a significant windfall for the general exchequer.
Similarly, NZ Police chose to re-equip themselves with a "better suited" rifle for their "armed offenders squads", which meant that there was an abundance of Sako 222Rem L461 and A1 rifles sold to the civilian market. To this day, those rifles fetch an extraordinary price whilst still in circulation "on the streets" :)
Maybe our neighbours got some things right?

Premier Chris Minns labelled the two-part program “a big undertaking” but said he’s focused on delivering his promise to take the dangerous weapons off the streets.
“The next step is getting the guns that are no longer permitted under those laws out of circulation and permanently off our streets.
“There are potentially hundreds of thousands of firearms affected by these changes. We want those guns handed in, compensated for and safely destroyed.”

“We must do everything we can to make sure the antisemitic (sic) terrorist attack in Bondi doesn’t happen again,” Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a statement.
“That includes meaningful nationwide gun reform.
“I thank the New South Wales Government for their collaboration as we work to take guns off our streets in order to better protect Australians.”
Proud member of "the powerful gun lobby" of Australia :)

NSW gun buyback announced
Compensation for firearms
The first phase of the buyback, beginning on November 2, will offer fixed compensation rates for individual licence holders who possess more firearms than permitted.
Compensation will range from $450 for an air rifle to $1,000 for a handgun or centrefire rifle – and a flat payment for associated ammunition.

Hugely generous payments will be offered to the potential criminals that now hold these excess firearms:

Screenshot 2026-08-16 064128.jpg (277.63 KiB) Viewed 113 times

Eligible businesses and dealers impacted by the buybacks can apply for grants up to $25,000, and gun dealers will receive one-off licence fee relief worth $500.

The gun buyback’s second phase, scheduled to begin in early 2027, will provide a pathway for eligible higher-value firearms with an indicative market value above $3,000.
Compensation will be capped at $10,000 per firearm, with further details to be announced at a later date.

The Albanese government will contribute 50 per cent of administration costs and fully fund the destruction of surrendered firearms.

Albanese and Minns are celebrating their march towards communism and enslaving the people by spending extensive steam-bath sessions together whilst flagellating about how powerful their police forces make them.

Pauline Hanson is just now on Sunday Agenda calling out for NSW people to fight back against the little worm Minns.
That taxpayers now fund this buyback insult, especially disgusting as she says, the public money is being wasted on stupid Labor agendas already, not to make the state a better place for the people.

It saddens me greatly that I live in a country where people are so naive.

You got that right mate.
How many seriously retarded shooters STILL tell me they vote Labor because of John Howard 30 f*cken years ago.
Those Labor c**ts had those laws mostly written FOR him years earlier. It's all on the public record.
They say they vote for Labor because they can't stand Pauline Hanson's voice. Or red hair. Or wrinkles.
Or some other mentally deficient crap.
Why must I share this country with d*ckheads?
Yes, John Howard was, and still is, a cowardly city-centric POS.
But Minns is no better, in fact, he is a very cunning, quietly spoken agenda-driven sneak who's fiddling around behind the scenes to screw you all over, he's just a lot better at not looking like a flaccid, jelly-spined dog like Albanese.
Labor is Labor, the enemy of the free man.

Remember years ago here, the shooters preaching how great Labor was for the hunting still allowed in NSW state Forests? Even to the point of slagging off fellow forum members, including myself, and eventually a few being banned?

At this point, just how many other political parties as a WHOLE have spoken out that they would bin all this communistic rubbish? NONE.
Edit: Tell me what the point is on reversing this despicable decision years from now at the next election (as if...) when your guns are all gone and no more can be imported?
And the next time someone boasts how he got "great buyback money" for a well-used bush gun, at the expense of freedom, walk away from that f**kwit and lose them from your lives. Real strong men want their freedom, not weak dogs being bought-off for slavery. End .of edit

About time that people start looking at the open, public policies of the political parties, instead of the people.
The ONLY party supporting gun owners, hunting, collecting and being LEFT ALONE is ONE NATION.

Whinge about them all you want, and keep voting for the noose that's about to go around all your necks.

When I first seen "Sleasy Minns" I thought, who is this latest leader?
People were saying he will be different, but this "honest Chris" act had me futher looking further.
The good guy act is exactly that, and all that has come out, from when Borsak tried to get the conservation hunting legislation through, was that Minns had no idea about anything until told.

He has now shown his true colours, and still came out shining, compared to Elbo.
Like the greenies, who have likely never stepped outside the city limits, it seems that Minge also has not stepped outside the shire.

Bits I have picked up are he did the uni course that would only qualify him to be a politician. Nothing useful for any worthy career.
He was a head union man for the fire brigade, and not liked by any firies.
He is full of spite, and didn't take to well to the negative feedback he has been getting since the start of his guns-gone stance.

I think it would likely not have started in regulations until after the state election next March, as nothing happens fast in govt.
He has jumped in with this first stage of the plan, and said stuff in parliament a few weeks back about if taking the guns costs him the election, it is worth it.

I truly believe he has jumped the gun in payback for all the flak we are causing him.
I will get them, start the actions now, take their guns.

Still, SFA details, ammo, we can't sell it legally.
Looks like no open amnesty type thing where crims could also hand their guns in lol.

As we only get less than half price as compensation, and they will only buy back ones we have to lose to meet the requirements and the banned guns, we can't sell them our old cheap centerfires and worn-out Howas for some compensation balance.
Both of the commos are still talking like it's all about reducing gun numbers, but they don't want as many guns as possible.

I suspect what really upset Mince was the family members all jumping in to get licensed and the complete failure, resulting in more shooters and guns in the city streets.
He is after payback for sure.

I told him on FB that I hope he enjoys his job for the boys next year.

Sad times for us, and I really need to shoot my banned guns a few times more. I don't think I even blooded those 2.

Look at the self-important apologist "good points" starting once again.
There are no upsides to this
Who gives a flying f**k if some-fly-by-nighter gets even from the money being paid for handing in your freedom. The fact you are handing back legal possessions is the crime here.
Dead set, the enemy is amongst us - first comment is Oh well, lucky me, got my money back.

Looks like Mini-dick Minns is floundering in front of the media, with his bum-buddy Albanese by his side, "Oh well, looks like it's only me that's the proven c**t, but I won't wait for the other states to turn on the good people too" POS.
No other states are following this grub. Yes I know WA is already the breeding ground of the police state.
Liberals, Nationals, all are turning on this turd... funny it took One Nation to stand up and belittle this Islam-fanboy grub and say that it's the dregs being imported, not the guns, that are the problem and that the gun-buyback is just a smokescreen for flooding scum into Australia without adequate vetting.
Despite Australia having many more times per-capita socialist public servants to properly screen them.
Now they're all jumping on the bandwagon.

It's after 5.20pm here, and on News24 since I switched it on at 5pm it's all been interviews with other states politicians caning Minns for butt-raping good people. And it's still going.

I don't turn on the box until the evening news, but good to hear they are still caning him, and keen to see if his confidence is dropping.

Still, it seems that these grubs will never take a backwards step.
I don't expect he will, and think he was getting out anyway, after seeing how much of a mess the state is really in.

It amazes me how, apart from talking about the cost of living crisis and handouts to help next election, they really don't give a hoot and will spend billions on a failed gun take that didn't even work.

The media seems a bit quiet about this week's Western Sydney shootings, or have they fixed that?

Remind Minnsy that when the buyback does nothing to fix that.
But then, the crim s won't hand in their registered firearms, will they?
Funny that.

I feel sorry for all NSW shooters, but it will be here in Victoriastan too, soon enough....I love how Albo n co keep saying "theres more guns in Australia now, than in 1996".......Such a stupid comment, really confirms the true intellect of the man.
