Ever wondered why voters are so stupid?

Honestly, have any of you tried so hard, yet failed, to convince some around you that what they are believing and supporting is in fact harming them? Ruining society?
Ever wondered why with all the educating we try to do, the masses just "follow" the most incompetent, seemingly "leaderless" and uncharismatic monster that is propped up to have what evil they represent thrown your way? And why they blindingly follow?

My wife put me onto this, she was musing about how people just seem to be getting dumber and dumber and will follow someone without any experience or status. Think of gun laws for example.

Any of you who watch this, do so with an open mind. Because what's happening to even well-educated people is bloody well true.

yeah , wow. a lot in that vid is spot on . people who give up common sense for a ideology where they think they are doing good when logic says otherwise.

my own personal observations over the years , as someone who grew up pre internet and social media , is society is dumbing down . yeah i know, it's stating the obvious , but i believe that staring at screens as the majority of younger generation do , doesn't train the mind to think like reading a book does . i've always been a avid reader , and i believe the link between comprehending the meaning of the words and "painting" a mental picture when reading, trains and develops the mind. some of the victorian era writers were truly painting these mental pictures with descriptive beautiful words , and paragraphs that truly set the scene. sir arthur conan doyle , HG wells , as well as many others were masters of this . not to mention our bush poets . my observation is people who read generally have a better attention span and focus than those who don't . some of the young ones i work with can stay focused for about 5 seconds JMHO

There ought to be a slightly higher hurdle to voting than having a pulse beyond 18 years of age.

The voters are voting to give themselves more, and, given that so many are unproductive, they vote for whoever gives them more welfare.

I propose this: Anyone who remains unemployed can be given a choice.
1. Stay on the status quo, receive benefits, but centrelink will hound you to get a job and make you jump through hoops top earn your dole cheque.
OR
2. Be taken off the electoral roll. Centrelink will not hound you, but the pollies will be free to do what's best for Oz, not just the growing number of unemployable voters.
--> you can get back on the electoral roll of you become a net taxpayer for a full electoral cycle (not just the week before the election).
Make it voluntary.

The system works exactly as designed. It's easier to manipulate and exploit a population that way.

This is an interesting question. I recently read a study on empathy, and it divided the study by gender. The study concluded that a man's empathy level is strong when dealing with victims and innocent people who are in dire straits, but drops significantly when dealing with criminals and other people who they feel deserve punishment or adverse circumstances. However, a woman's empathy level remains relatively constant regardless of which type they are witnessing. This "suicidal" empathy has been on display recently with the various migrant crisis around the globe. If you witness various NGO's aiding these illegal migrants as they storm the beaches, the volunteers are almost all women, also note the video of a woman defending and shielding an african migrant being beaten by a group of men for exposing himself to beachgoers in Italy including children... I see evidence of this female suicidal empathy every day in America.

It's not "ALL" women though. For instance in America most married women are very consistently conservative in their thinking and have common sense. But I'm absolutely convinced that college educated single white women are the driving force behind all of the political and societal chaos in America today. Not just the migrant issue but a host of other issues involving choices in society. If only men voted, a lot of our problems in society would be solved. Anyone who claims that if women ruled the world, it would be a better and peaceful world are totally ignoring the facts on the ground.

i agree with this 100% . you hit the nail on the head with people being "educated" in universities to throw practical common sense out the window for ideology. is the proportion of left wing lunacy higher in females from that enviroment ? . probably .

but women i've met in regional australia have largely had much more common sense than males in the city i'll tell ya . sterotyping people is not in my nature, i take people as individuals and give the benefit of doubt until proven . but generally speaking your on the money

The crux of it is there is a deliberate and agenda-driven push to use the promise of comfort and tribalism that all humans can have switched on (except those that seem to have awakened the Sigma gene).
Get masses of lemmings together in situations with charismatic false idols, driven by this self-serving agenda to tell enough subtle lies, pull on enough heart-strings, play to so many human failures that they are victims, and slowly turn them against the system that rewards hard work and achievement. Promise them riches for doing nothing, swamp them with fast, cheap physical and mental ice-creams and the masses of followers will become your voting army.
