Processing time for straightforward licence renewal NSW

Post by NickRigby » 07 Sep 2026, 4:44 pm

Mid-September sees me hit the 90 day out from expiry mark, and eligibility to apply for renewal for my NSW licence. My renewal "should" be a "straightforward" one, i.e. no additional category, no additional valid reason, same address etc

Anyone done one similar recently? How was the experience and how long did it take?

Should ask Minnsy mate. He's got all the answers on how to get things done. :sarcasm:

Renewed mine in July, took about a month but received an almost immediate email acknowledgement which stated I was covered for any delay beyond expiry.
Renewal runs to 2031, I recommend you apply for 5 yr renewal even though Minns and his bum chums reckon 2 yr only renewals will be issued.
