The .25-20 WCF has a pretty loyal following for good reason. It’s an old-school cartridge that’s mild to shoot and was well suited to small game and light-duty hunting. It’s not going to compete with modern cartridges for range or power, but that’s part of its appeal. A nice rifle in .25-20 is more about history, handling and practical use than chasing maximum performance.

Agree! I would like a Martini in the 25-20...Nostalgic!

Yes, A Winchester 1892 half mag, Had it rebarreled at TSE brisbane and a williams peep sight fitted. The only hassle is that 25-20 brass is hard to come by, Resizing 32-20 starline brass works but make sure you anneal the necks.

Sizing the brass is the least of my worries...

i've just been thinking about a 25-20 project on a martini action . i think it may have potential as a accurate , quiet varmint round , not being hindered by a tube magazine with regards to COL and spitzer bullet choice . has anyone done this ? cheers

There is a 255 Dean Martini on SSAA gunsales. Its basically a 25-20 improved...It looks the goods. Im very tempted...$450! I think it once was $850

There is a 255 Dean Martini on SSAA gunsales. Its basically a 25-20 improved...It looks the goods. Im very tempted...$450! I think it once was $850

Haha, yeah it looks like good value, dies, and brass included too i think....Not as boring as a 223 either..
