Leupold warranty service.

I picked up a Leupold LCS 35x45 a while back that has developed a broken reticle for no real or apparent reason. So i sent it off to Nioa's Leupold repair facility. A few days later I get a call from a technician telling me parts are no longer available for this series of scopes. So a replacement was offered as in a Mark 4 HD 8-32 × 56 with the PR3 reticle. Now that all sounds well and good but it doesn't fit my purpose of light weight, fixed high magnification specifically for benchrest. Having no other option, including no option for repair in the US, I decided to take the offer. So in a couple of days I will acquire a quite heavy FFP scope with a totally useless reticle for any form of benchrest or even Fclass. Yes I will make a bit of cash on the sale of this scope NIB but it will leave me short of a scope fit for purpose. Leupold no longer make any LCS type scopes and now cannot even repair those that are out there. Very poor form.

It's all they can do, really.

If there is another similar model that suits your needs better, they may be happy to make that swap.

Nothing in their current range comes close to that weight. Light varmint has a limit of 10.5 lbs. I will be about 8 ounces over weight.

Yeah, those funny weight limits have got me beat, but they have to set them somewhere.
Makes a 10lb and an 11lb rig a whole different thing.

I only have one Howa varmint 24" for longer range shooting, and it could be close, only know it's too heavy to carry much further than from the hard top to the bonnet.

My next long range shooter will be a bit lighter to carry in a bit.
That weight limit may be for stuff like the Hunter class they added to F-class for blokes with more normal rifles to participate.

Bench rest jobs often have shorter truck axle barrels; another way to get to weight limits there, F- class would still like a bit of length though. They would all go through barrels regularly to keep those groups so likely cheaper than buying a Euro scope to match the weight.

Meopta used to do some different big comp scopes, but NFI of the weights; my 6-18x50 is not as light as a Leupold, by any stretch.
