Boca Shield rifle covers

Anyone using the Boca Shield longarm covers? Interested in 1 for a rifle, not shotty.

Can't find a local place to get a feel of one, hoping for some feedback before I take the plunge and order one online.

Cheers.

I haven't shot with the Boca Shield ones specifically but have used similar, personally they put me off.

The feel of anything like that spongy neoprene puts me off as I don't have as solid a grip with the movement of the cover.

Nothing against Boca, it's just the way it is with any of the skip on covers.

If you're worried about camo just get some tape.

Won't add any appreciable bulk or sponginess to the rifle.

Good for storage - Not so good in the field. As broom said it does put you off with the feel especially on immediate aim and fire shots. They also tend to pick up every burr, stick and any other plant you brush past. I bought mine at the shot show as you do but it has now been sacrificed to the shooting gods for the betterment of our sport.

Idea...

Cut up and old crappy wetsuit and wrap it around.

DIY test run before you fork out $$$ for a proper one. In case you don't like it.

Yeah, I can do that.

Fair point about the feel being off.

I'll give a test run a go some how and see first.

Thanks all.

Same as Broom IMO.

Haven't used Boca exactly but close enough. Don't like the feel of any movement which a cover ads.

They're good if you're in dense woods where you're likely to get scratches pushing through for house.

I don't use mine any other time.
