The shooters Leatherman tool?

Post by tuffstuff » 30 Oct 2013, 6:09 pm

I've been Googling this but for some stupid reason I can't find it...

There is a Leatherman that's made for shooters and had tools suitable for a rifle.

It's call the.... What?

Someone will know :D

I've had one of the original Leatherman for 16 years or something and it's just about as new.

Great tools.

Indeed. I've got a similar aged once that's still as strong as the day I bought it.

A mate broke his Leatherman recently, after having it for 20 years, took it to a dealer, and they replaced it on the spot.
That is amazing.

I have a Victorianox which is very good also.

Awesome.

I hate that s**t where something has a "lifetime warranty *", then when you read a fine print "lifetime" means 3 years and there are 50 conditions that void your warranty as well.

I have the Leatherman Wave and I think it is a good tool. I bought the MUT a few years back and have hardly used it. Most of the tools it has for shooting you wont need unless you fire an AR 15 variant. They look good though....

As above the MUT was really designed to be used with AR series of rifles. I got the Leatherman Surge with the bit kits I find this more suited for rifle use in the field. The bit kits I got for it has Torx, Hex, Phillips and Flat bits which pretty much cover everything.
I actually used the Surge with the hex bit to adjust my rifle basixs trigger.

Leatherman are good gear, my supertool 200 has been going well for ten? years without an issue, the pouch died recently though and you can't buy a leather one anymore.

If anyone knows where you get them from please advise.

I've been trying to justify buying a MUT for a while, but I have one of the original 24-tool or whatever it is ones that's perfectly fine.

Maybe I'll lose it then have an excuse to buy a new MUT

Love my Leatherman Surge!
It rescued one of my colleagues from the toilet once, the inside of the lock fell apart and they had spent about ten minutes trying to find a screwdriver that they could slide under the door to him! Bam! Leatherman saves the day :D

Yeah, I wandered into town today to get new boots on the ute - the slicks were a bit dodgey in the paddocks and to fill in the time went over to Bunnings for a few things.

They had a Leatherman, "Kinchrome" and a couple of other multi tools as well. There was a CraftRight 11 in 1 multi tool with 10 piece driver bits and a nylon pouch for $10 bucks!

Now this ain't no Leatherman by any stretch of the imagination but this'll do me. All I had to was swap the 5mm driver bit for a T25 bit to fit the Tikka stock and done.

Cheers.

With the red, I can see them when I put them down. Actually, was in "Gold Coast Reloads" today and saw a blue pair, looked really macho too!
