I think they cut them through the action which renders them useless then cut the barrels etc

I doubt very strongly that all handed in arms were destroyed.. Note the colt used at PAM was identified as one earlier surrendered by a victorian, best we don't mention that, right?!

It's been a while now but do I remember correctly that some time in the past few years a police storage facility was robbed for a few boxes of guns there in Victoria?
