We don't look that bad, do we?!?! :wtf: You know how to insult a bloke!

Nah not that bad but seeing as I'm a Howa owner it's mandatory to have a dig :P

Your foxes aren't as precious as the Tikka Foxes are,  You know you really should have spent $2 or $3k to shoot a fox cos they can tell the diff between a cheap outfit and an expensive one!

Yep, I had a good experience witb a Marlin 3006, so even though I had little use for the 223 bought one anyway as price was amazing. And glad I did. I did look at the tikka when I was looking for a lighter 3006 as my Mod 70 is a bit on the heavy side for me these days. But as I only get out occassionaly it was hard to justify the cost of a tikka in my mind. I also wanted a tool rather than a piece of nice furniture. Im sure the tikkas are very nice though, and consistsntly a tad more accurate.

I wouldn't have a Tikka because A; I don't like the miserable ejection port. B; because it's push feed. C; Because I won't have a rifle with a drop out mag. D; Just because.

My ONLY complaint about my .243 and .308 tikka is that they are light, you say whaaa, I hear you all say, its just the recoil, add a bit more weight, and they wouldnt recoil so bad In My opinion, besides that... They are a loverly rifle...
And thats the way it is..

Yep that's the drawback of lightweight rifles and cals with reasonable/heavy recoil, you will indeed feel recoil more. My mate had a Ruger Paddle Stock in 308 and that thing kicked pretty bloody hard too compared to some 308's I've used over the years.

A 6.9 Ibs scoped T3 .30-06 does kick a bit. But I'd rather put up with a bit more recoil than lugging a heavy rifle around the bush. Each to there own I guess.

Yeah mate if you're humping up and down hills definitely go light, its not like you're shooting a heap of rounds out hunting anyway (well not for deer anyway) my mates got a T3 in 30-06 she sure belts ya with heavy loads/pills

I don't think I'd like to use the bastard down the range all day long but for hunting not that much of a drama once you get used to it hey.

Either do I....that why I have a .204 Ruger and .22 as well. Should only be one shot on the deer. But the .30-06 is nice to shoot.
