I think Tasmania has just tightened their storage laws outlawing wood.
10mm is minimum for dealers, the walls and roof can be made from concrete with a vault type door if you own and want a large walk in safe.
If you are making your own better to go thicker in case they move the goal posts in future,considering the fact you can be charged with fail to prevent the loss or theft of a firearm if you are robbed better to exceed regulations than just scrape in.
You can calculate the weight if you desire, steel is around 7800 kg per cubic meter,i would make it over the minimum of 150kg for not having to bolt down and still bolt it down.
