Shooting on Good Friday-Victoia

I can't recall, can u currently shoot on good friday? Years ago you were not allowed. What about now? In Victoria.

You can shoot any time in N/E Vic....except if you're chasing deer....then it only in day light.

Just checked the regs and act. No mention of "friday" when I did a search. Must be ok.

From today Friday the 3rd to Wednesday the 8th you can not hunt with dogs but you can still hunt everything else. The GMA have an app it's called ( game hunting vic ) its a bit annoying to work out at first but it dose have info on what can be shot and times


Is shooting Easter bunnys on Easter wrong ?

Search for Thursday not Friday.... Thursday before Easter to Thursday after Easter....if Easter is in April.

Must be a tradition/Christian/bible thing, not hunting animals with animals or something, don't know just guessing....

Do you know why religion would be affecting governance and policy in this country? Surely this isn't true.

Start dates and duration is the same...when easter is in April there the no dogs in easter thing...Hunting doesnt stop during the easter period, only dog-hunting. Maybe a way to get the dogs out of the forest when Easter revelers are there??

Whether or not its a Easter Break or bible thing and whether or not you're a Christian, the whole legal system and our society is built on Christian beliefs, kind of fact as painful as it might be to many..swearing on the bible, opening prayers at Parliament, etc .. there are many 'forces' at work seeking to remove every reference to this from our lives.

I thought s**t, they've really got their hooks in when they're getting hunting stopped on their religious holiday.
