wow guys love the warm welcome cheers

1290

i have a few different guns one's
my favourite is my tikka t3 22-250 stainless steel huntsman .
my reason for that is after shooting for a number of years and owning a few different rifles
I must say in my own opinion you cannot go passed a tikka
I have a mate that works for Barretta' as a gunsmith and he swears by them as well bang for buck .
its a sharp shooter .
I’m what you call very anal with my guns I look after them like they were my own children .
choice of ammo federal premiums’ love them . I don’t change ammo for a number of different reasons .
I’ve completed some upgrades too.
Next upgrade will be the stock although have mixed feelings i want to get the evolution stock . my only issue is it will be heavier and I’ve heard that you need to pull it apart to clean it properly ?
I’d also like to put a muzzle break on it . your thoughts ?

Gee you guys are a nice bunch and know how to make a new guy feel welcome. Here's to hoping I don't let my new gun hobby go down the same path as my car hobby....

Well at least I can put a bigger safe in the bigger garage....

I don't see why you would need to remove the stock to clean it? The action just drops in the more or less the same as the factory stock, wouldn't be much different.

Mmmm, I wouldn't put a break on a 22-250. Recoil is so little anyway but it will make it bloody loud.

#Gasp#

Can't I have both?

Lolz, let's just say I've got more cars than guns rite now and I'm gonna downsize the car collection.

I'm blessed enough to have been able to acquire my dream car and I'm restoring and improving it right now.

I wonder what my dream gun would be?

Is there like a carbon fibre/Kevlar/super composite stocked rifle with a non rust/cerakoted/chemical treated barrel and super everything else being sold?

For a second you thought this was a dating site......for shooters....its not, unless your bearing is 45 degrees.... :?

So you're Asian hey... that narrows it down only half the globe is Asian - only the little part from Turkey to Russia down to the northern outskirts of Australia...but my question is why identify yourself as Asian, if you're apparently not prepared to state the nation?? If only to incite a response...you got it.

other than that welcome, and jump into the discussion, no doubt you m16/m203 experiences would be welcomed... ,

Fair call. Didn't really mean to illicit any other response except for a laugh or giggle but I can see where you're coming from. Saying that..

22-250 doesn't "need" a brake obviously.

Why do you want one? Trying to make near zero recoil just for fun? Or just because for an accessory?

I think you might be surprised how loud it makes them, and find it's not worth it without the recoil reduction. IMO.

hi Turkle

I’m wanting to get it to stop the lift at the front and from what I’ve read that’s what they do are they really that loud ?
$450 for the muzzle and fitment of it you can bet that I’m not going in to this lightly.
Yes it would look good BUT i want it to work I use federal premiums ballistics its not the recoil it’s just the lift that’s somewhat annoying

A brake will reduce the lift.

If you can I'd keep an eye out for someone at the range using one before you hand over $450.

There pretty common on .308 or 300 win mag. With any luck you'd find someone shooting a braked one and someone shooting a regular muzzle in the same cartridge on the day and you can hear the difference.

Not to put it down or anything and I don't think the guys are either. Just saying though, you wouldn't be the first guy who bought one and decided he didn't like it. Plenty of guys live with the noise but they are loud.
