I saw no red nose or Carmen Miranda's but I saw allot of other types ;)

Had great day. Caught up with Lorgar and partner, rsj223 and his hunting team who remind me of when I was their age (keen as). Also whilst talking to a new acquaintance at the Swarovski stand a guy pipes up with my name as he recognised my voice haha Id just bought beautiful leather slings from him off of AHN. All great people and I'm glad I made the effort to get in touch.

The prices on some select things were good. Scored a couple of gun bags, roll of cleaning cloth + flint striker fire lighter thing (cheap deal), bunch of smaller items, allot of free magazines and info and a 4 pack of STS Bisalloy 500 gongs that I then had to carry with the other stuff back to the ute and return.
By returning I succumbed to an itch for bulk ammo deals; my wallet got a beating, did a deal on 800 rounds of various ammo that made it hard to justify bothering buying brass for the first loadings.

I now have two well grown cows (Angus and Murray Grey) that will be finding a new home next week to get my head back above water :lol:

The best part of the day was un expected;
Made some good contacts re: my property business, and arranged to do some bartering for things I want including cash and a fantastic new hunting pack! in exchange for some prime venison cuts. (Glad I didn't go through with the culling of the lot a while back while disheartened by poachers.)

Got to pick up and have a feel of some lovely firearms that I may never feel again, but if I see a Sako 85 Bavarian Carbine Full Wood come up for sale in the next few years un abused and in need of love I may sell a couple more cows :thumbsup:

Damn I wanted to win that Swarovski scope in the raffle for online entry ticket purchases :problem: I was walking towards the Swaro stand when it was announced, adrenaline kicked in then hollow gutted feeling so continued past as I didn't want to see the winner cheering :lol:

Enjoyed the day.

Enjoyed the day too - its one of those places you need to go in knowing what you want because its a mad house!

My pleasant surprise was the new Lithgow centrefires... the bolt was stunning (like a penumatic piston) the wood not bad and the trigger consistent if a little heavy

It was a good show but not as many specials as I thought, was good to meet up with KWhorenet, went back on day 2 to get something I should have got day 1 but got to put in a heap more entries in the gun safe but no luck.
The Lithgow's wow I will be waiting for them to hit the shops.

Got myself a 400m gong from STS on the day :D

Even the small ones were heavy enough just to be a pain in the ass to carry around.

I just had a look and they're not on the website but they were selling a 2 MOA at 1000 metre targets on the day as well. It looked like the guys taking them out where trying to move small coffee tables made out of lead :lol:
