Hi all,
Recently I did a bit of research on crows, and read a very interesting article.
Apparently there was a big problem in Japan with crows ripping open rubbish bags at rubbish tips.
It was such a big problem that a particular business did quite extensive research into the crow.
They found out that the crow is colour blind to a particular shade of yellow.
Not just plain every day yellow, but a very particular shade of yellow.
They patented their findings, and wont share the particular shade with other companies.
However,,,,,,,,,
Plastic garbage bags made by the company in that particular shade of yellow are now used for the Japanese rubbish tips, with a huge reduction of the amount of bags being ripped open by the birds because they don't recognize / see the bags anymore due to that colour.
I notice that available here in Australia are rubbish bags made by "Multix" and are yellow.
I am thinking of wearing them like leggings, armlets, and vests, to see how they work against the crow eyesight.
Being garbage bags,,,,,,, could they be that "particular shade of yellow" ?????
If any of you members feel inclined to give it a go,,,,,,, I would be interested to know how things turn out.
( just don't let the little men in white coats see you )
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.
