45/70 Loads for Uberti 1885 High - Wall

Post by Mick280 » 23 Jun 2015, 1:30 pm

The ADI manual lists 45/70 loads for modern rifles.
These include the Browning Model 1885 Single Shot ( High - Wall )
Would these loads be safe for use in the Uberti Replica?
Cannot find anything to the contrary in the Uberti Manual
Thanks
Mick

I have the Browning 1885 but I can't see any reason why the Uberti would not be able to also handle these loads.

Maybe stick to the starting loads as even they are hot and you know you've fired a 45-70.

Thanks 1886
That was pretty much the direction I was heading.
Plan on using the bottom 2 or 3 loads as the top end of my ladder test.
Just after a second opinion!

It shouldn't be a problem, just make sure you don't muddle up the data sheets for the different types of levers... for obvious reasons
