Hey fellas, i'm after a boreguide for a lithgow la101 just wondering what fellow owners use, i've looked on a few various sites but have a feeling it might be to new for one to be made for it :/

Just a follow up for the lithgow .22 owners out there , received my bore guide from lowey products a little while ago, very good to deal with and the boreguides a perfect fit, if anyone would like photos up just let me know

Does anyone know what the go with an odd dry fire with these things? Like a miss count as the range etc

Pretty sure it's not going to wreck it. I done it quite a few times on my BL-22 lowering the hammer when it slipped out of my hand. Just don't make a habit of it I would suggest.

Should be ok to dry fire if you have one chambered in centrefire, right?

Just not if in .22lr

It's in .22, put through maybe 500 rounds and miss counted twice and saw no dings or dints or anything

Dry firing won't directly damage anything as the firing pin doesn't pass the bolt face to hit anything, but, it's not good practice to have one hardened metal part impacting another.

Normally the pin would hit the brass case and the case would absorb the impact. With the pin being arrested by the bolt instead the pin could break from the impact.

Accidentally firing on an empty chamber won't be a problem. But I wouldn't routinely do it.
