A nice heavy 1911 in a 4-5" frame shooting 9mm is a far better choice than a little snubbie 38/32, let alone a 45acp in something small.

In 2004, among state prison inmates who possessed a gun
at the time of offense, less than 2% bought their firearm at
a flea market or gun show and 40% obtained their firearm
from an illegal source

There may have been other assisting variables but I'm confident a attitude change in both the criminal element and the law abiding elements due to concealed carry would have contributed nicely to this.

Your story, despite not actually knowing you, brings this whole issue very close to home. I don't imagine your wife was in a good state for a while after that.
Where in Qld was this?

actually for cops to be there in 15 was pretty good the average for an emergency is 20 and if it is not life threatening such as a brake in its " don't touch any thing one of our tecs will be there in the next three days "
glad to hear that you and your wife are OK .

I wonder just how much faster police would arrive if you rang 000 and stated “I’ve got a gun and am prepared to use it”

In America they carry our fat butts by 6. But, then again, our caskets aren't biodegradable and they are loaded with electronics.
Does this coffin make my butt look big?
