I'm ready to buy a .223 to add to the collection, would be great to support an Ozzie company :)

Don't really need a brake.. but if i had the threaded muzzle I may stick one on just for the sake of it.. I've only read some people run brakes on .22 and see some good results.. just another toy to own imo

Their website says that they are available in .223.

About the ring the LGS and ask if it's on.

I'll let you know.

Just spoke with LGS. Winchester Australia is the distributor and nothing is listed as being available as yet and no information as to when. My LGS has only seen the .22 and they are available (38 in right hand, 34 left hand).

Still waiting, but, I'll go for a .223 also.

Just wanted to pop in and say I'm a proud Lithgow Crossfire owner :)

Did a "like for like" swap with my Norinco JW15E and got an all black, cherekoted .22LR. Haven't shot it yet but I'm damn keen to try.
I got a few bricks of Winchester Power point Sub-sonics and some Remington Subs to shoot off. I've seen in recent reviews the Winnie PP HV and CCI Mini-mags do very well (sub moa @ 50m)

I bought a Lithgow at the beginning of the year and it was a great rifle.

I sold it during a small financial crisis and have regretted that decision ever since.

It's not all bad though as they've since came out with the black cerracote and shortly a laminated stock versions.

Guess where my tax refund is going

Going through the manual, it states action screws are tightened to 1.5nM. That's not even finger tight and the action is definitely snug and tight so it's definitely more than 1.5nM.

I honestly don't know how they get that figure. Not that I need to pull the action out of the stock but if I ever have to, I want a more believable figure without researching all over the net or over tightening the screws and affecting my accuracy.

1.5nM is 13 in/lb and is definately more than finger tight.

On my rifle which was one of the first 500 produced i had to relieve several areas of the bedding to make sure the receiver seated in the stock properly.
Once i did that the 1.5nM recommendation was plenty and very snug.

The best $90 i ever spent was for a Wheeler FAT wrench. It takes the guesswork out of torquing stock bolts and scope mounts.

Yep got the wheeler FAT wrench too, very good tool.

Guess I should of done the nM to inch pounds conversion lol I'm used to working in nM on bigger stuff and 1.5 is very low. 15-20inch pounds is normally what I do for scope rings due to the size of the screws so I would assume action screws would be tighter.

I just picked up my left handed crossover 22lr.

It has a Burris E1 fullfield 3-9x40 scope and a Harris bipod!

Just brought her home.. Will give it a clean and head out to the range tomorrow.

Has anyone who owns one managed to get a spare mag? And do the CZ mags fit as advertised?

I do believe the CZ mags do fit. A mate at a recent hunting trip gave me a 5 and 10 round mag and it clipped straight in. I didn't cycle any rounds through it and it seemed to have a little bit of wobble while inserted, however the standard plastic lithgow mag also has a little play too.

Well I didn't get out to the range, family had other ideas. So I have the Lithgow and the Ruger American unfired and sad!

Here is a pic of her ready to go! Yes she still has the Australian made tag on it :)

Haha yep they do that.

Snuck off to the range after work and sighted it in.

Managed this at 25metres during the sighting in.

That is 13 rounds in that hole.

Moving out to 50 and it got a bit looser, was using CCI standard

Are you happy with the crossover overall? I'm keen to get one but thinking of waiting for the 17HMR to be released.

Matt77 - no regrets :)

The only issue was eye relief for my scope since the weaver bases on the rifle only allowed the rings to sit in one position. I bought off-set rings to fix my problem, but overall the rifle is worth the coin.
