Savage - Accutrigger adjustment tool

Post by YoungBuck » 04 Sep 2015, 9:16 pm

So...turns out I never got the little tool for the accutrigger on my Mark ii FV-SR when I bought it. Gun was put into a bag that I bought at my lgs at the time and the box for the rifle was left at the store, I assume with the adjustment tool left inside.

Does anyone know of anything else that will also do the job?

My second hand Savage did not come with one. I ordered one from my LGS. Around $15.

I also had one missing from a box, yrs ago when they were relatively new....the dealer probably didnt even know the tool was there, and replaced it for me.
I reckon its quite easy for them to drop out and get lost, being to tiny...
With a few tools you could make one up, just a reverse flat ended screwdriver

Not much to it.

Here's a picture for those of you who don't know what one looks like. Might help with suggestions.

Thanks Andrew.
I've got a specialty screw driver set with something very similar to that but it isn't quite long enough. Might have to sacrifice an old screwdriver.

Fine tweezers?

Probably only a couple of bucks at the chemist?
