A soft point blows up that fast? We have that same Privi ammo in the states. I have heard about soft points for varmints but everybody uses Varmint Grenades or other weakly constructed fast hollowpoints. Very interesting, thanks!

Ben, just a heads up, I'm not a great fan of PPU for reloading. I've found that a lot of PPU cases just didn't like my full length sizing die. Having said that, I FL size so that it can be used across different rifles, you my or may not have issues if you're neck sizing, but until you can try it out for yourself, it may be worth getting another brand of ammo. I wouldn't want to see you with a pile of brass that gives you issues.

I don't know what the composition of their brass is but it's definitely a lot different to Winchester, Remington etc. etc. and all the other ones.

It's almost like that glossy cheap plastic.

After watching Elmer's rabbit spotting video last night I thought I'd head out again today and hit some new ground that I haven't tried yet on a 6000 acre property that I've been frequenting lately . ..I wish I'd bought my phone to take some pictures, blody heaps , nearly as bad as Elmer's video.

I didn't have much time to kill so I sat down and took out 7 rabbits all under the one thorn bush with the .22 using subsonics from 50 mtrs off the bipod all in the space of 20 minutes .

They are super lean so when making burgers out of them I would add about 25% regular lamb mince for flavor and fat. They taste quite neutral on their own, only the slightest hint of gamey-ness.

Went out on Sunday for a little while but didn't stay long as the fly were giving me the absolute s**ts. I think it's Gunna be a bad year for fly being so dry.

Funny you should say that, I packed it in the other day because of Flys. Sticky little buggers that you had to literally wipe off ya face.

I've just put something back in the buss that's been missing from my kit for a while...

Lee f/l .30-06 and .303. No issues with any other brand except PPU. I also know others that have had issues so won't buy PPU as they can't reload.

As I said earlier, he may not have any issues, other calibers or dies etc may be fine, but I wouldn't buy hundreds of rounds of ppu before knowing if they had any issues with his dies. If they do work, great, but i wouldn't want to see him with a big pile of cases he couldn't use

I'd say it would depend on the Mower - was it a Victa 357 or a Rover 44 or possibly a Pope 22 with extended blades?

PS. if the mower was black, does that make it a Tactical mower?

Good way to catch Rabbit Fever. Whenever I hit one I drive away and mor the other side of the property. Come back and finish the next day. Probably paranoid/excessive, though.

I had heard of rabbit fever but didn't think it was in Australia.
Apparently 2 types of disease are caused by similar bacteria, or different strains. Type A only on Nth America but a few cases of Type B have popped up in Tassie.

daughters first fox we got 15 rabbits as well,or should i say she got 10 rabbits and i got the last five no photos of the rabbits and almost no photo of the fox as it was across a creek but i went for a walk in the morning to get it
