The numbers they quote as being scandalous only prove their own bulls**t.

They say 850,000 guns like doomsday is here but how many LAFO are they picking up each day for firearm related crims? None.

The truck photo has nothing to do with it either :unknown:

Oh to be a fly on the wall yesterday during the 'review' 5/11/2015..... it clear the agencies are driving this push for more gun contrl laws...ag office, fed pol and various state pols.... they will push every possible control measure up to the point of parliament in bills and regs/RIS.... Its up to us to convince our reps to quash it....

Consider the WA example.... a group of lawyers have prepared the firearm law review and suggested a common air rifle be moved to cat d... we cant let this kind of bulls**t occur. Move crininal use laws away from firearm LICENSING laws then deregulate/simplify the laws just as the affected party (LAFO) as well as the Martin Place inqury called for - yet they actually spun the need for reviewing lever action laws out of it!

Wow... did you guys know that, as the Adler hasn't been classified as a semi-automatic, it has been classified as a shotgun?

Oh, and according to one of the (few) reporters there yesterday, one person showing up can still meet the definition of a rally

Gun laws are a state responsibility so it's really up to the individual states to decide, it sounds like NSW and VIC are ok with the Adler 5 round not 100% sure on other states.

All the lib feds have done is change the customs act to outlaw importation of 7 round Adler which has a sunset clause thanks to senator Leyonhjelm, when this gets reviewed will be the next battle.

State responsibility yes, why then is there a national agreement dictating most state firearm laws (with variations here and there)??

We had the quite abhorrent situation on the 5th where Keenan said to the states, right, I want you to change your state laws to make the adler, sorry lever action 5+ shot a cat D..... in this case most of the states said no.....

I believe the Adler 7 shot is still LEGAL in most states??!!

And it matters little that the feds are libs, if the feds were labs, the states would have fallen into line and by now even those 700odd 5 shot adlers would need to have been surrendered.... Labs are a socialist party, Reds = Gun control, I hope no shooters actually believe they would have been any more 'lenient' than the libs...

Our system of 'laws', especially import law is rooted.... when illicit cocaine is in the same category as a sporting shotgun, is in the same category as a tungsten filament light bulb....

The lightbulb thing is such a farce it's almost funny.

Same penalty as the others for importation which is $75,000 or something.... For a bulb

yes.

(Weapons Categories Regulation 1997)

Category A = ...a shotgun other than a pump action shotgun or self-loading shotgun;

Q: Whats the magazine capacity?
A: It doesnt even HAVE this magazine you speak of... :unknown:

(Weapons Act 1990)

Schedule 2 Dictionary......
magazine means a detachable receptacle for ammunition for a weapon. [emphasis added]
