WRSC Mudgee NSW Shooting weekend! November 27th-29th!

Post by NuZo » 18 Nov 2015, 6:16 pm

Hey guys,

I know it's a bit late notice but here's a quick note about the up coming shooting weekend at WRSC.

The next shoot is November 27th-29th.
Usual proceedings - Chill Friday, Tactical Match Sat, 300m Hunter class BR/Fly sunday.

For this event we are trying and setup some sort of "tactical" match for Sat. It's still in the works But here is the match structure;
Please understand part of a "Tactical" match is that you come prepared for anything and you must solve your own problems in order to reach the goal. Now that's out of the way, here are some requirements;

-Ammo = At least 30 Rounds, you might not use all of them.
-Bullet drop up to 500m - Sighting time will be allocated in the morning.
-There will be an overall Time limit, if you exceed it, you will be DQ'd.
-Target distances will be random.
-Shooters will run this match one at a time.
-If we get enough time, we can run through it again for fun
-Score will be recorded based on HITS and MISSES.
-No other shooting while match is in progress.(Safety)
-This can be shot with any rifle as long as it adheres to the range template(7.62NATO/8mm MAX) bonus points to those who shoot it with iron sights!

The match structure will be explained to you on the day - any questions will be answered on the day. We are hoping this will be a fun yet challenging match that we can run again in the future.

No catering this time so please be self sufficient.

$40 range fee's for the weekend.($20 per day, Friday free if you help out!)

Hope to see you there for an awesome weekend!

Cheers,

Nuzo

P.S. the range is located near Mudgee NSW - Link below is to google maps of the range entrance. It is just after the rest stop on the left hand side of the road and has a red flag marker. If you pass Cudgegong Rd on the right, you've just missed it.

P.S.S below are some photos from previous events :D

Not surprised about the mosin, all that excess powder just burning and causing a massive fireball
If something doesn't work, apply rule .303!

It was actually a long exposure to capture the full flame pattern of the shot.

This was an M44 mosin so a short barreled carbine version. All that powder, not much barrel hahaha.

Cheers,

Nuzo

P.S. I hope to see some of you there! Perfect chance to shoot out past 200-300m!
