Update, rifle is being returned with an interim fix and the part will be in the new year in which it will return with a quick turn around..

Not the best solution. But it's a solution... I can go bunny busting now over Christmas..

Yep after a nasty email got a call 12.30 to say sorry and it will be sent out next week with a bonus magazine then at the end he tells me the ejection problem will be fixed next year WTF you had it for this long and you dont have the right part as they have not been made yet!!! I said you wont be getting it back you will need to send parts to LGS and sort out payment with them.
How can some eject ok and others not?
How can they not have the right part made yet with 100's sold?

My calls happened around 11am. Maybe I was to nice.. Lol

It's a effing joke... They admitted its a problem with a few rifles and also admitted that it's the new year because a supplier has let them down. Also said its because they are shutting down for Christmas and the part arrives the day they shutdown.

That's when I was offered the rifle with an "interim" fix until the new year.

Has put a sour taste for the rifle.

Try Consumer Affairs first it it comes to that.

It's free where VCAT has a $150 application fee or thereabouts.

A CA conciliation is usually done in a few weeks too, where VCAT you're almost certain to have to wait months.

LGS called today to say they were told by Lithgow my rifle is on its way and all going well should be here by Friday, I kinda feel excited but not sure, want to shoot it but also want to put it unopened on web for sale guess I'll find out when it gets home

They were going to send it but noticed a scratch on the barrel...... Asked me if they want to fix it.

They are a bit of a joke, my LGS said to them it better be right or it will be sent straight back.

Firing on cycling the bolt or releasing the safety.

Watched that video before and the guy needs to take his finger off the trigger when manipulating the bolt.

This bloke needs to watch where his fingers are when closing the bolt/operating the safety and anyone who works a trigger like he does when showing how it had fired is likely to damage something, triggers have some very delicate parts that don't appreciate abuse, personally I would not take too much from this video as it seems more like operator error rather than the rifle

Something doesn't add up with that video.. i've put countless rounds through mine and even though it had that feeding issue its never ever fired on my like that

You never know if he bubba'd the trigger, making it unsafe like that. Also his gun handling habits do leave quite a bit to be desired..... He did almost look like he was squeezing the trigger while hitting the safety....

Like I said. You don't hold the trigger and take off the safety or work the bolt.

I am the first to bag out this rifle due to issues, but seriously this guy claims that it is unsafe why hasn't he sent it back?

Agree, if he's put a THOUSAND rounds through it and it suddenly developed an issue?
Maybe he's had a bit of a play with the trigger sear and F#$%^d it up, I would have sent it back / sought a resolution before bagging the froggies.....

and I WOULDNT have posted that, freehand firing a knowingly mis-firing rifle without concern of where its firing, un-aimed, apparently. range or no range...now that the courts have demonstrated that YOUTUBE is admissible as evidence...

I've just taken it off my short list. From all accounts most people love it, but if the after sales service is like this, it's just too risky for me, especially being in Western Australia.

Not just that, but let's say you have a warranty issue. So, you have to take it to your legs, and wait, and wait, oh, and wait. Then you get a response back that they have to replace the action or the whole rifle, then you have a notation fee of $180 to have the old serial number removed from your license and the new serial number added, as well as having to prove justification (property letters) again, have a new servicability certificate and risk wapol deciding that you don't need that caliber anymore (unlikely, but possible). So then you have to try to get the manufacturer to cover the extra costs of licensing.
In WA, you license each and every rifle by serial number, so, even if its a warranty replacement, you're still licensing a new rifle.
There is some talk of changing this to allow licenses to be updated at little or no cost or time in cases of warranty replacements or like-for-like swaps, etc, but this is part of the same discussion paper to move some air rifles to cat c and d.

I have not paid for transport or will not be paying for different number the LGS said they just enter it as warranty work or something like that but thats here in Vic.
The LGS called to say they have the rifle and can be picked up when I'm ready, I thought they were calling about me walking out on them after standing there for 30min waiting
So will be back at the range this Sunday all going well

tried Lithgow at HOLROYD RIFLE RANGE (GREYSTANES) this evening, the 5 shot group is not too bad, this gun got a lot potential I believe

picked her up from the dealer after being return and headed to the range today.

Well yeah umm if possible it's worse.... Stove piping oh I wish that was the worst... It just struggles to load the final round now.

The bolt passes right over it locking up.

Well took the 101 out today fairly windy but plenty of still time between, the grouping seems to be a bit worse but would need a stiller and cooler day to confirm 100%. Top left RWS rifle match, top right SK rifle match, lower left SK subs, lower right eley subs dont look at all the other ones just sighting and some stingers.
It is a very picky rifle and a new problem with eley subs (see pic) it was lifting the nose up to far and cutting into the nose, to say I'm disappointed NO I'm numb dont know what to do next, another s**ty email to them but you will see by there test shoots is ok to have flyers with high price ammo? just sell it?

Have you got anyone else who can shoot good groups to test it out to rule out shooter error so to speak (would be good to rule it out if possible) but for me I would be seeking my $$ back if possible (hasn't performed like it should).

I'd be very disappointed with paying a $1000 and getting lousy performance like that I can tell ya (the daughters Savage cost less than half that and shoots 10c piece groups regularly but more importantly than that it functions as it's supposed too!

Anyway mate after seeing all these issues with them I certainly won't be going near one and I won't be recommending one to anyone in a hurry either.

I have tried demanding my money back from both, gun shop say its the manufacture's fault, Lithgow just say NO but have been communicating with Consumer Affairs Victoria and they are 50/50 but I guess now that Lithgow had a chance to rectify the problem and stuffed that up it might help, will see what the new year brings just didn't want to go through all that legal stuff alone, should start a facebook page ...who on here knows all about that???

Yeah just keep talking to Consumer Affairs about it, show them what's been happening and see how it goes I guess and if that doesn't pan out make it someone elses problem I guess (sell it).
