I saw one guys bench. He mounted a vice & everything was put in the vice.
e.g. bolt a piece of 1' Angle iron or lump of timber to the press to put in the vice. I have done the same with a couple of items like the cradle I use to hold the rifles while I clean them. The rest are bolted to the bench

The rcbs press is for my rifles, .222 & .303 and the lee progressive press is set up purely just for .38 specials for cowboy action, this should be able to pump out 1000 rds an hour.
I wish I'd made the bench longer as i have a 12ga press i want to mount also.

That's a lot of shooting! I'm sure your aware but the benefit of the lee press is it the turret is interchangeable. You can switch the dies in and out easily. Thats how I do it. Regardless, sweet setup, working on upgrading mine atm to!

Just screw everything to a piece of timber & put the timber in a vice or use G clamps. It isn't rocket science.

All though, thinking about it, if you put the powder in the correct shaped & type of container and an ignition system you might end up with a small rocket.

I used to be into model rockets when I was a kid. That's pretty much what we made, because rocket engines were unfordable to a 14yo at $10 a pop. Funny that the price hasnt changed in over a decade, checked recently for nostalgic reasons. Good times. Anyone's trys this s**t nowadays - there will be lovely men in masks politely tapping on your door and you won't be flying anywhere for a while.

I imagine the fuels for such a hobby have long since been made illegal and you'd probably need a WorkCover license to do it these days.

Due to 100 layers of red tape being required these days no doubt, blowing out the cost to accomplish nothing.

I've walked into hobby shops and bought rocket motors without ever needing to do anything else aside from hand over cash.


I can also build them (which I have ) from scratch and launch them in my backyard and not one single hoot is given.


don't let them know that yet. They're bound to try and crack down on high-powered assault ships carrying carbon fiber baby-killing parachutes into earth's atmosphere that can knock out whole planes and satellites!

Got the lee pro 1000 sorted to start pumping out 38's, only loaded up 30 of them to test fire and they shoot and cycle just fine.

There's a little nut on the underside of the shell plate, you can see it kind of behind the arm of the press. If you tighten that up the ram should stop pulling out of the shell plate.

The Lee's are cheap and aren't up to the standard of some of the more expensive presses but they can be functional as long as you take care with them
