I am still very much of an opinion that senselessly killing an animal to simply mount their head on a wall, without any other purpose is wrong. Sounds to me, like you need a hug Genesis93. PM me, we can catchup, I will buy you a nice appletini and a big hug. Seriously man, you sound like you need ah hug.

Let me put it differently, I was at the range few weeks ago and I was looking at a particular rifle... The owner was somewhat proud of it and the conversations went along the lines of 'oh love this gun, took a zebra at whatever yards with this, last year in South Africa'. Question, why does someone travel half way across the world to kill a random animal for no good reason... By the way, his reason was - he wanted a rug. Also heard someone on ABC radio talking about hunting and I sh*t you not, the guy actually said, 'I just woke up one day and knew I must take a lion', when asked follow up questions, it was along the lines of 'yes, to establish myself as a man' or apex predator or some sh*t like that. I just completely disagree with those moral convictions.

Time to shoot the moral high horse in the head. I don't eat meat (so don't hunt for food) and haven't for decades and hunt game and pest animals just for fun and couldn't give a rats about the ethics. My favourite way to hunt pigs and goats is with dogs and a knife.
As for the OP's question on goat hunting in Victoria.. most state forests have a population of feral goats.
unless its food or a pest
