Is using an air rifle on 1/4 block legal in NSW?

Have the appropriate AB licence and the gun is registered. Question is can I fire my air rifle on my own 1/4 acre block???

This depends on zoning, is your block rural or town? If your are within town limits, then, generally no. Cheers.

Yeah as above. NSW doesn't have minimum land size as such but the back must be zoned rural. Not sure how many 1/4 acre blocks there are out bush :lol:

Just checked my zoning, it's R5 which is rural. Block is actually 1.5 acres.

Can you ensure the pellet won't leave the boundaries?

Will the neighbours flip out seeing a "gun" ??

If yes and no then go for it :)

you are lucky, my 1acre block is residential. However I went and saw all my neighbours and explained to them what I was doing. They were all cool with it. Doesn't make it any less of a drama in front of a magistrate though....
