A few past 400.

Well another 3 Bunnies added to the 22-250 tally, actually it was five but I accidentally deleted one   he was at 420yds(384mts) and one at
460yds(421mts) which I forgot to move the camera when he jumped a few paces.
Anyway the first one was at 436yds(398mts) and copped one in the chest, the next was the one I deleted, the third at 430yds(393mts) copped one a little far back which broke his spine and managed to crawl down his burrow...luckily not too far and was able to be retreived.
The next one which hopped out of camera view copped it in the chest and slumped over into the mouth of his burrow and finally the last one at 465yds(425mts) was hit through the chest and exited near his back leg.
At past the 400yd mark even a slight breeze (under 2.5mph) had to be compensated with a few clicks of windage and a few misses made it all the more interesting.
It looks like the RHDV2 has not struck my area yet but with a few little family groups (4-5) kittens on each warren plus a hand full of adult rabbits made it encouraging,I will not be going back to that spot now for a couple of months, I think I better leave them alone now and let them recover.
cheers,
Sean.

Hi Elmer, i know this video was on your 22-250, but interested to know what your loads are for your .223 when you use the 223 for your bunny/fox sessions? If you reload, what are your projectiles, powder loads and rifle twist for your 223? if factory, curious to know your fave fact ammo in use? cheers and thanks again for the vid's!

Hi Pete,
I only use factory loads in the .223 and 22-250, for the .223 I use Winchester Ballistic silvertips in 55gn (that applies to the 22-250 as well) the barrel has a 12 twist and I have tagged rabbits out to 450yds with it....glad you like the vids, more to come.

Cool. Thx mate.
Wish I had your ranging skills... still working towards it. I need more long range skills as the bunnies I hunt are very shy!
I'll get there eventually ☺
Cheers pete

Camera work is going to be challenging at that distance.
