I know some ppl will say - well it won’t affect me, I don’t do $10k cash - but, what’s to stop I going to $5k, then $1 - hell, “cash? That’s illegal mate - we can’t track cash...”

If the Queensland constitution is similar to the NSW constitution then you have NO rights.
Once again for emphasis NO RIGHTS.
This will be expressed in fairly plain english within the constitution but somewhat concealed so the dull witted will not grasp it's meaning or potential consequences.
We only have privileges granted (or for that matter withdrawn if you were exercising a liberty not yet proscribed) by parliament and thus by whomever controls parliament.
I am totally mystified why the chattering classes, who constantly bleat about rights, studiously ignore this state of affairs.
I have posted on this subject a number of times in the past on this forum.
The only recourse for us is at a subsequent election.
Now, fortunately, we live in a fairly genteel political environment where the political class prefer to rule with the apparent consent of the majority.
Which gives some credibility to the Mark Twain quote “If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it.”
But the iron fist will discard it's velvet glove if and when circumstances so necessitate.

And finally declare that your family is part of the conspiracy and thus unsaveable....aka drop the mofo bomb on the house
what you say that's not possible, look into the isis brides, sure some went there when they were older and want to stay there but most went when they were 16/20 and now have 3-5 year old kids) hoodwinked by their husbands or BF given fairyland stories, husbands who are now dead. If you ask most Australians who call themselves moderate, they are against bringing these women and kids back, because they are scared by the media and the government.
So what do you think will happen if the government really wanted to take your liberty, by the mate fact you have a firearm they are very easy to convince the people that you were a terrorist.

It’s already gone beyond average joes ability to do anything meaningful about it.
That being said - you either put up with it and try and live within the confines or move or whinge about it to no affect lol

TassieTiger wrote:So what are you plans SWM? What are you going to do to improve the situation - cause, whining about it on a gun forum does nothing...(he says noting that he is whining on a gun forum).
That’s what I was saying in my last post / We are effectively already on our knees...

On a more upbeat note - banks have passed on the full interest rate cut thank goodness, but it’s had a scare across the ASX.
Glad I bought into silver last week - it’s tanked since I bought, I’ve done a couple hundred on paper lol. I have faith.
