Adler a110 loading issues

Post by TassieTiger » 06 Jun 2019, 7:04 pm

Aint it always the way....?
I put a couple of boxes through this recently acquired but second hand adler - without any issues what so ever.
Today, I loaded it up and said to a friend who knows firearms intermittently - try this and cycle it pretty hard to ensure it works.

He fired once and then "click" - nothing.
From this point onwards - the shotty will not load another cartridge into the chamber.
Ive had a bit of a look and i think the small ramp that holds the cartridge in place, is refusing to let go whilst being actioned.
The small lever on the side - is that meant to slide over the little indent to lift the ramp ?
Anyone encountered anything similar ?
I know there is a 5 year warranty on these but if its something simple....then id like to have a go at it myself.

Do you mean the cartridge stop is not releasing a round from the magazine? The lifter moves up and down okay?

Yes. The cartridge stop is not releasing.

Can you reach the cartridge stop with a probe and move it manually?
I think you'll have to go inside and see if something has come adrift.

I don't have an Adler, but my Dickinson does not trigger the cartridge stop until I drop the hammer, simply cycling the action does not allow me to pump shells through the action without firing them, like my old pump-gun allowed. I haven't been inside it to see how the mechanism works. To unload the Dickinson I have to have the hammer cocked, and then I can manually extract the shells from the magazine by pressing the cartridge stop manually. With the gun empty, pressing the bolt release button does move the cartridge stop, but with even a single round in the magazine the cartridge stop doesn't move. It's a strange design.

Yes - If you can get a finger into the mechanism, it’s easy to release the stop and activate it - but I think from the look of it, there is a slide that activates this during cycling...and that’s not happening.
Now you mention it - I’m not sure you can cycle the Adler without firing...I’ve only had this a couple weeks.

There meant to have a 5 year warranty on the Adler - I might email same pics to NIOA - might be a known thing.

Thanks - I watched that a few times but it doesn’t address the part that is failing which is in the side of the receiver.
I sent video to NIOA they declared its warranty issue and to send it up...bugger, but at least it will be fixed.
Cheers.

It’s where your Adler goes for warranty : repairs...in QLD.
They have the market Cornered on a LOT of firearm gear...Including Leupold scopes - lifetime warranty - if you have an issue, send to NIOA, they fix and send back free or if they can’t fix - they send you new stuff.
I’ve had nothing but excellent experiences with NIOA.
