What are you making or tying?
Trout opening was a bust, think we spent more time telling lies, reminiscing and planning future trips than real fishing as we ended up behind someone else who got there early. Furled leader was the beans, so will roll up a few different varieties for future use.
Went out friday before picking my daughter up from school and manged 3 rainbows and 1 brown locally. They were all pretty sluggish, so possibly still getting over the spawning run - particularly the jack brown who was pretty thin and pickaxe like.
Last night went and sat over a little gully junction I shot a hind in earlier this year last couple of hours of light. Was freezing cold and windy but saw nothing other than a few wallabies and a lone wombat. Glad to have the new shooting stick/bipod as it gives me much more flexibility than relying on stump/branch

Last time I tied a fly I'm pretty sure it was several of my bead eyed woolly bugger variants.
Arrows, it was 300 spine carbons with 200gn brass inserts and 125-130gn heads for a total weight of 585gn. Fly absolutely beautiful from my 70+lb martin ml 10 longbow.

Secondary Education, Design and Tech and Physics, 12 years as a panel beater and amateur motorcycle racer (crashing lots) had me looking for a career that's gentler on my body.
