(if you want your own map just Google maps search 'Buckland Valley Bush Retreat' for the exact location)

As I said on the other post, his wife and kids where at the shootout so, he clearly got help and/or access to a vehicle pretty quickly.

Up the river to Harris lane, gives the option to flee to the hills, get to Harris lane (great swimming hole there by the way) and get picked up and flee into the pine plantation, lots of roads to exit from but not many other vehicles.

To get picked up he would've had to phone, text or email somebody to meet him somewhere, which Police should've had the records for very quickly. He might've used radio perhaps.

I didn't say it was where the bus was, I linked to the property.

JohnV wrote:I didn't say you did . Just said that that map is only roughly correct . Which is right .

JohnV wrote:You have the wrong place mate . The bus he lived in is at the end of Rayner Track . Exact position . Lat. -36.702124° Long. 146.884236° using WGS 84 datum. Make a waypoint marker in GE at those coordinates and it will be right on the bus . Zoom in and you can see the bus . To escape you have to run and get out of a search area as far as you can and then evade tracking dogs that might under favourable conditions track you outside that search area . Stash a hang glider up on a high spot and hang glide down into the valley . That would leave any dog team at a dead end . If you are well outside the search area it's unlikely a search chopper would see you .

He has thousands of acres of bush there, he doesn't need anybody to feed him or care for him.
I find it very difficult to believe that anybody would be harbouring him. If he'd taken off without killing anybody then sure, somebody with similar leanings toward authority and government might be willing to hide him from the authorities. But after murdering two officers in cold blood - I just don't see it. He'd have to have mates that are hardened criminals or psychopaths for them to take such a risk.
