It's now pointless lobbying the Libs or Labor, because they are desperate for the city slime vote, and proved they'll sell you out. And just did.
The SFP has backstabbed farmers over and over, siding with the farmers' arch enemy, Labor, too many times.
Probably worthwhile to message the Nats, because the Nats opposed the laws, to egg them on to join One Nation because you'll give them the flick too if they stay with the Libs.

All One Nations other policies regarding immigration, the economy, housing and manufacturing (take the time to look at them) are pro Australia too. Not just sucking off a globalisation agenda like the Duopoly.

I was watching the progress through the upper house.
Those who opposed it were;
SFP
One Nation,
National Party
Libertarian party.

Basically 7 people. At times 10 were required for a majority.

Various parties opposed various parts of it and complained that if the bill had separated out the firearms changes, the crimes act changes, and the public assembly’s changes then things might have been different.

Difficult to say who they would have aligned with in this matter. All things considered.
The majority of their voters support tougher gun laws. But they also still have a lot of pro gun voters.
Current rhetoric would suggest they’d oppose, but risky for their growth spurt.
Most probably oppose, possibly abstain.

Sffp all of their voters are pro gun.
Libertarian all of their voters are pro gun.
Nationals it was good to see them oppose this. Actually doing their job for the farmers instead of their donors. Despite their national leadership, they have very good representatives in regional areas.
I cannot overstate how good this was to see in NSW.

It was particularly disappointing to see liberals in regional seats vote against what their electorates wanted.

yeah bottom line IS the majority of the general population , who know nothing of firearms and hunting, want tougher gun laws . our elected representatives , instead of taking their time to draft laws that are fair to all , rushed through new gun policy to cover up their failings on dealing with radicals in our society . the system, and those who administer it , failed . not the existing laws . it's all past now and we've got to deal with the new situation, and what's coming . i don't think labour in NSW is done yet .
