Everything was sent immediately after in PDF, literally 8 emails of supporting info (you need that for PP)
Now it's 16 days since my license expired... and still nothing.
Isn't it unreal that a system THEY made into law, THEY made the system for, that THEY are supposed to run and staff adequately, and that THEY gave 2 months in advance to send the relevant info for, is so behind.
If this was a private business, even without the deliberate tax and red/green/black tape thrown ay you to try and ruin you, they would be out of business.
Apparently with renewals, they are so behind that they do not even look at the renewals until the expiry date, and even later still at that.

So what do they do now? Grab your guns because you are unlicensed?
My H expires this year too. In October, may be I should apply for renewal even though they have not sent a notice yet.

I rang them and asked if I had missed anything in my renewal because I sent but a small fraction of what Is collected as far as satisfying the need, and got told that all's there and at the moment as far as renewals go, nothing is looked at until or after the expiry date of the license.
42 days grace is what the bloke said to my phone call. I am always polite and respectful, dealing with the public would be very unrewarding I can imagine.
I'm not being a smart alec, but they give me 42 days "grace" in which I'm still licensed.
That's comforting.
PTA's, big deal. Without the license, things come to a stop.

You must submit your online renewal prior to your firearms licence expiry date. This is necessary so that your authority to possess and use firearms under your current licence will continue, while your renewal is being processed.
Pending application for subsequent licence or permit
19 Pending application for subsequent licence or permit
(1) If a person's application for a subsequent licence or permit is made before the person's current licence or permit expires but has not been dealt with before the current licence or permit expires, the authority conferred by the current licence or permit continues until such time as the person is notified of the issue of, or refusal of, the subsequent licence or permit.
(2) If the applicant fails to collect the subsequent licence or permit in accordance with the approved arrangements within 60 days (or such longer period as may be approved in any particular case) of being notified of its issue--
(a) the subsequent licence or permit is taken to have been surrendered by the applicant, and
(b) any authority conferred by the current licence or permit ceases to have effect.

Not sure whether I'm looking forward to booking a hotel in inner-city Brisbane... for a few days and eating pub steaks and salad for dinner and perusing all the great tool shops and gun shops down that way... whilst I attend a QCAT hearing. All these things are just another of the experiences life has to offer.
My accountants say it will be a 100% tax deduction!
