From all reports it seems like it went from 2 months to 2 weeks almost over night.
It does seem like they were being deliberately slow previously and the decision was made to stop that policy.

So guess I have a black mark against my name that i dont know about. What else would explain this? And if there is something wrong with my application, wheres my phone call/email notification? Ive heard of people cc'ing their local member into a complaint email to the qps. Anyone else heard anything like that or would condone it?

Had an error occour while payment was being made so i called up weapons licensing on tuesday and they said they'd send off an email and I would get a call within 24hrs. Didn't here anything on Wednesday so I called back today and 5 mins later had my reference number and they said that I'll get my notice to appear in the mail. To top it off just got off the phone and the missus came in with the mail with my notice to show 100 points of ID to the local police station. Needless to say I'm pretty stoked so far.

Interesting they they didn't know what it was for and had to ask you.
Then did they even check or did they take your word for it I wonder.
