Makes you wonder then why a pump action shotty with 5 in the tube can't be a Cat B or why Rem pump action centre fire with 10 round mag is still on Cat B...

so essentially they met in the middle, we can still own a lever action but if its over 5 rounds we need a cat D licence? I really can't understand why instead of C category it got moved to a D category though? I'm stumped at that logic. But the whole thing from start to finish stank of illogical anyways lol.

edit: with that said they will take what they can get and every time they try they get a little bit closer to their end game goal so we should keep fighting strong and hard. No mercy!

5 shot cat b makes sense to me, will not effect most users. But as mentioned earlier cat d seems illogical, way over the top. cat c for more than 5 rounds would seem sensible.

But, remember it was only an agreement in principle: Lever action shotguns: 5 shot- Cat B, 7 shot- Cat D
It effectively means nothing in real terms.
The registry Firearms Officers are acting in their interests, not yours..Irrespective of any deals you think may have been struck.
As I said earlier, don't expect feedback. Then, out of the blue a supposed 'in principle agreement from Firearms Registry (not worth the paper its written on)
Individual states such as Vic, Canberra -can torpedo the process.
Remember, all is never as it seems with these processes.Especially dealing with bureaucrats with vested interests..

I'm just a rec shooter, but this Adler saga has really got my back up..
Never get complacent. I still think a Protest Rally in each state is the way to go.
Authorities don't care if you trash them online, it's when you legitimately protest, they get the drift!

it was reported as 6 fragment OR bullets were found in the secon victim......you know you'll never hear the full story in the me-dia.........

as I recall it was something like 22 shots fired total, 13 'found' in monis......leaves 8 did I mention 6 fragments OR bullet in the other victim??
