Did you rifle feel different? It was like I was shooting a different rifle, everything was stiff, from the bolt to the trigger.. It's just felt different.
I have emailed the guy at Lithgow demanding a refund or replacement.

It doesn't cost anything to do a consumer affairs complaint/mediation so you have nothing to lose.
Don't forget from a retail point of view heaps of customers say "do X or I'll sue you" or "I'll go to consumer affairs" while waving their fist angrily, and in most cases it's just bluster from people who don't end up doing anything. Stall for a while and these people go away.
When push comes to show though and they know you're serious because they have consumer affairs or VCAT calling them it's not worth their while to fight it and you'll usually get it sorted.

So sorry, how about you sort it out yourself....
Thats piss poor for a consumer protection authority

Wylie27 wrote:Well dept fair trading are useless and sided with the dealer..
So it's back to Lithgow and won't have it until February... That is 4 months from the start!!
4 months with out a functioning rifle..
I can categorically state if you are thinking of buying a Lithgow crossover please reconsider it... The service is a joke, communication woeful and when they give you a date double it..
The dealer has decided that Lithgow can repair it and won't refund me despite the length of the issue. The dept of fair trading has told me to take it to court and that will take 3 months to process...
I can't in good conscious sell this rifle to anyone until it's fixed..
End rant

It is a joke, they cerakoted half my barrel and its patchy, different shades now.
And to be told I won't have it until February well f&@k.

Have they offered you a full replacement?
Gwion wrote:Yep... Take some action. This is all very disappointing to hear, indeed!
I have a $600 fishing reel in for repair/servicing. It has been since the start of Sept! At least I got 4 good year of use from it first, but I do understand your frustration. Assuming I live to the average age of 70, that's about 1% of my remaining life span. Time's a wastin'!!!
